48 Hours

"Will leave cyber world, but'll be back after at least 48 hours. (Who cares anyway? HAHAH) Hopefully will have an artwork by then. Hopefully."

And that was my tweet last Friday night. Unfortunately, until now I haven't had any artwork to show you. I don't know, perhaps 48 hours of cutting my connection in virtual world isn't enough to pull my emotions into the momentum of stroking brushes and smudging pastels or playing with charcoals. But luckily enough, I made it - I just kept my promise. A promise to myself; prohibiting my self to enter cyber world for at least 48 hours. Well actually, I know I can do it, because as I have said, I promised. And I believe, no, STRONGLY believe that promises aren't meant to be broken. NEVER. Lies do.

Wondering why I did that? I just realized that being in a cyber world devours most of my life time lately. I wake up, eat, go online, eat, go online and so on. That routine. Sighs.

So I made a decision to give myself an awarding break. That's it! It made a difference.

Saturday morning, I woke up 4:30AM (my normal body clock). Went out for a jog with my dad. Watched morning news after. Minutes passed then will boil some water in a kettle to make some coffee for me and my dad. Normal routine.

Then instead of going online, I read this book (at least printed in a paper, downloaded online days before), titled "The Fault In Our Stars" by John Green. Typical "teen" story. At least I thought it was. Good thing I printed out a copy of it. I wouldn't want to read it online, you know... I prohibited myself using things that will urge my eagerness to enter or even peek in cyberworld (esp. FB, twitter, Blogger, Gmail, Ymail); and that includes using laptop, tablet, desktop, or even my PSP. Dang! "Prevention is better than cure".  ;)

And I will not going to make a review about it. One word: Awesome. More words: I can't get over with it just yet. I just finished it a while ago, reading the last chapter while hearing the sound of the boiling water near beside me, and I just love that. Classic type setting huh?

So while I was reading it, I have this dictionary beside me, literally. And, a literal dictionary, not those you'll find online. And it gives me quite nostalgia. Like way back elementary days or so? ;) Enriched vocabulary, yey!

Funny thing is, I also turned my phone in silent mode. (Woooh! At last I get to use "mode" not in high-schoolish way, the way others use it. Like kain mode/ texting mode/ tulog mode...duh! HAHAH!)

I texted my bestfriend what I was up to (about this 48hrs blah blah). :)". HAHAH! Which triggered me to ask her a coffee  meet by that same night. Looks like we have lots of catching up to do. And there were actually! I also shared the success of the PBO of course, how was it like to be a blogger and meet nice friends, and convinced her to start blogging as well! :) It's nice to have seen a friend and chat with her in person, share each other's stories and the likes.

Being in 48 hours duration of not being a "cyber human" is like living in a primitive basic life. I get to notice things I hardly notice before, do things in time which mostly were in queue before. And get to spend quality time with my family? Woah? HAHAHAH!

Another one, I finally got a new battery for my calculator, I can start my review as early as tomorrow. Not today, well, my turn to open the cyber door and see what has been happening in cyber world! Hi there! ;)

Kwentong Kuneho:

(I miss this one)

Nung nagcoffee kame ng bespren ko, may two roundtables na magkadikit, yung isa nakadikit sa glasswall, yung isa naman occupied by 3 girls. So nakishare kame, since isang table lang naman ginagamit nila.

Maya maya bigla silang nagsipag-ingles pag-upo namin! HAHAH! Ewan ko kung nagpapa-impress or what pero ganito sila mag usap:

G1: Im-hungry-already....I....wanted....to.....eat.....more....food....
G2: Yes-do-you-remember.....what-happened yesterday?...*name*....just....got.....her.....new....hair....cut....
G1: Im-hungry-already....I....wanted....to.....eat.....more....food....
G3: Blahh....blah....blah....blah...

Hmmm.

Pao Kun's Thought101:

Hambabango lang ng mga babaeng nagjo-jogging. Pawisan pero mababango pa rin! ;)

  11. Since we miss you.... literally... I have a lot of things to say. We're now friends (assuming) so I will be brutally honest.
Let me share my two cents worth on this post...

There's no sense of being away from the cyber world for 48 hours if you'll document what you have done the next day. Where? Here. Through your blog. Admit it... We're hooked to this and we can't do anything about it. There's nothing wrong staying online too long since we are not violating any law especially on intellectual property right. One of it is printing a book which was illegally downloaded online. Bwahahahaha.... Peace! J/K

mong namamahinga, prone ka sa skip reading dahil marami for sure ang nakapilang posts from the blogs you follow. Bad 'yun... hehehe...

    1. I missed you all too, literally din! :)

On your first cent, actually, I didn't cut my connections in cyberworld in purpose of documenting it, really. I just still hadn't got an artwork to post so I decided to blog what happened in my life within that 48-hour duration. :)

HAHAHAH! HAHHAHAH!

and, wala akong gustong patunayan!

Having that 48 hour break is a realization that life is not only centered in one person, activity or events. A time ofr everything...
